The star of our story, Mango, with his owners.
Mango is a middle aged ginger cat, who is usually found in the library, staff room, playground or even in the sick bay comforting an upset child at Arrowtown school. The Carter Family are the real owners of Mango, but they willingly share him with the more than 600 kids and the staff of the school. Ellie and Levi say Mango is always very sad during the school holidays when the kids are away.
The Illustrators
Mango the Arrowtown School Cat has been beautifully illustrated by some enthusiastic five, six and seven year olds from the school. Their illustrations have captured Mango as they see him every day, and are a wonderful match to Wendy’s creative storytelling.
